Job TitleLift Repairs Trainee
OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and hands-on Trainee Lift Repairs Engineer to join our repair team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start or develop a career in the lift and escalator industry. You will work alongside experienced engineers to learn how to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of lift equipment safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Assist qualified engineers with the repair and refurbishment of lift systems
- Support fault finding and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical components
- Carry out basic repair tasks under supervision, including parts replacement and adjustments
- Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals
- Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures and industry safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out
- Keep tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and occasionally customers
- Adhere strictly to health & safety regulations at all times
Structured on-the-job training with experienced engineers Opportunity to work towards industry-recognised qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering) Progressive development into a fully qualified Lift Repairs Engineer role
