MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician

A well-established independent automotive workshop is looking to recruit an experienced MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join its friendly and highly skilled team. Due to continued growth and recent investment in additional workshop facilities, this is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving business that values teamwork, quality workmanship, and employee wellbeing.

• £40,000 – £45,000 basic salary (dependent on experience and working pattern)

• Conduct MOT testing on Class 4 and Class 7 vehicles
• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair work on cars and light commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults
• Complete vehicle inspections and health checks
• Undertake diagnostic and more advanced technical repairs when required
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards
• Work closely with colleagues across the workshop and front-of-house team
• Maintain accurate job records and documentation

Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm

Saturday: 8:00am – 1:00pm

Flexible working arrangements may be considered, including Monday-to-Friday-only schedules for the right candidate.

• Current MOT Tester qualification is essential
• Relevant vehicle technician qualifications advantageous
• Proven experience servicing and repairing cars and light commercial vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence preferred
