JOB ANALYSIS
The job of Office Assistant is done for the purpose/s of providing a variety of secretarial/clerical support to a variety of assigned administrators, and school staff; establishing and maintaining department records; coordinating assigned projects; and compiling and distributing a wide variety of materials and reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate with staff, students and parents to relay information in an effective, professional manner.
- Knowledge of basic office equipment, ability to troubleshoots machinery and coordinate maintenance.
- Ensures the confidentiality of complex and/or sensitive information, records, contracts, logs, files and related documents.
- Must work independently and complete tasks with little supervision.
- Ability to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines in an environment with constant interruptions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent computer programs, Outlook, Google Docs and ability to learn District’s software programs.
- Ability to be multi-tasked and handle unpredictable situations.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Knowledge of lockdown procedures, fire drills, emergency backpacks to insure a safe school environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from High School, 2 years of College or equivalent work experience in related position.
- Experience working with students in school environment desired.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Range of 190-260 days per year depending on position. Refer to the contract between the Londonderry School Board and the Support Staff Union for additional information.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's
policy on evaluation of Professional Personnel and Union Agreement.

Facilities Profile:
Londonderry High School is located on a 135-acre site on Mammoth Road in thecenter of town. The main building is 232,250 sq. ft. and houses approximately 105 classrooms, cafeteria,and library media center. The two-story 52,000 sq. ft. gymnasium, opened in January 2003, sports a17,000 sq. ft. wooden court.
History:
The high school building was built in 1972 as a junior high school. Additions were added in 1975and 1978, and the building opened as a Junior/Senior High School in September 1978. The current 9-12grade configuration was adopted in 1982. Additions in 1998 and 2003 brought the building to its currentcapacity of 2000 students.
