The State of New Hampshire, Department of State, Division of Archives and Records management has a full-time vacancy for Data Librarian II.

Summary:

Performs records management activities involving the organization, preservation, imaging, and retrieval of digital and micrographic records. Operates imaging systems and maintains related databases in accordance with established procedures and standards.

Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

Responsibilities:
  • Operates electronic imaging and micrographics equipment to convert and preserve state records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Organizes, indexes, and maintains digital and micrographic records using established filing, metadata, and records management procedures.
  • Enters and updates information in databases and inventories to track records converted to microfilm or electronic formats.
  • Performs quality checks on scanned, imaged, and microfilmed records to ensure records are complete, legible, and properly indexed.
  • Assists staff and state agencies with locating, retrieving, and accessing digital and micrographic records.
  • Performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting of imaging and micrographics equipment and reports technical issues as needed.
  • Assists with the migration and conversion of electronic records and images in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintains operational records and prepares routine statistics and reports related to imaging, micrographics, and records activities.
  • Provides basic assistance to staff and agency users on established procedures for accessing and retrieving digital and micrographic records.
  • Follows established records management, archival, security, and data preservation standards and procedures.
