Our schools have both non-program Special Education Assistants, that work with students that have lesser needs, and Program Special Education Assistants that work with students that have higher needs.
Starting hourly rates for non-program assistants are $17.62-$18.62.
Program assistant’s rates are $18.12-$19.12.

Assistants are offered the ability to take a free RBT class on their own and get an additional $0.50 per hour once completed. If you are a certified Para educator II or at the time you become one you will also receive an additional $0.50 per hour for that! So you can earn a total of an additional $1.00 per hour!

This is prorated by the hours that you work. You can also apply for additional reimbursement in May if funds are available.
You can take advantage of this to become a Para educator II.
- LEEP, Developmental Preschool for 3 & 4 year olds: 50% Special Needs/50% traditional students
- PALS, Primary Academic Learning (Preschool & Elementary): need assistance w/ learning & daily living skills

Some schedule flexibility is available at the discretion of the Special Education Director.
South Elementary School6.25 hours a day, both program and nonprogram positions available.
Moose Hill Kindergarten and Pre-School- 4 hours a day, program position
- 5.25 hours a day, program position
- 6.25 hours a day, both program and nonprogram positions available
- 6.5 hours a day, program position
- 6 hours a day, Monday through Thursday, nonprogram, LEEP
6.25 hours a day, both program and nonprogram positions available.
