Granite YMCA Workforce Development Apprenticeship Program
is dedicated to tackling New Hampshire’s childcare shortage and building a stronger community by developing the next generation of early childhood education and youth development professionals.
This brand new and highly immersive
10-week program
offers hands‑on learning opportunities across various settings, providing you with intentional training, peer discussions, and real‑world application. You’ll gain invaluable experience while working towards NH credentials, making a lasting impact on the lives of children, from infants as young as 12 weeks to school‑aged youth.

Experience:
- GED or High School Diploma
- Minimum age of 18
- No resume required
- Schedule may vary based on participant and program needs but will be a minimum of 32 hours per week and operate Monday through Friday between the hours 7a-6p
- Trainings will include in‑person and virtual settings
- Required classroom placements are on‑site
- Now Enrolling for Fall 2025 and Winter 2026
- Childcare assistance available
- CPR and First‑Aid Certification
- Early Childhood and Out‑of‑School Time Credential support
- Career advancement including resume development, interview preparation, mentor support, and networking opportunities
- Required technology provided upon request
