** We are seeking Early Childhood Teacher II's to join our new center in Londonderry with an anticipated start date in December 2026!
** Under general supervision of the Program Director and Associate Director, the
** Early Childhood Teacher II
** provides leadership and responsibility for the classroom’s planning, implementation, and documentation of a developmentally and culturally appropriate education program for young children within the ages of infancy to Preschool, as directed. Teacher II’s provide a rich environment for learning in which all children are seen for their capability through the construction of a curriculum that aligns with the program goals and standards, as well as those from NH Child Care Licensing Unit (NH CCLU) and NAEYC.

Responsibilities include:

* Takes the lead in developing  and implementing curriculum plans providing age-appropriate instruction; makes adaptations in curriculum and classroom environment based on children's needs and interests, takes responsibility for appropriate child supervision during large group times, small group times, and individual work with children as needed.
* Organizes and prepares classroom curriculum materials and environment, prepares documentation displays, prepares assessment portfolios, family communications journals, and actively participates and responds to center wide email as well any other out of classroom professional work required.
* Perform classroom related duties as required for classroom team, including but not limited to; snack preparation, child diapering/toileting, cleaning, washing dishes, laundry, etc.
* Interact with children at all times in a nurturing and developmentally appropriate way, while encouraging self-help skills.
* Assure the supervision and safety of children including the enforcement of child release policies.
* Lead overall classroom management activities and partner with teaching team members to: (a) Continuously plan, evaluate and improve the physical environment in the classroom to create opportunities to meet the changing needs of the developing child. (b) Ensure a safe, developmentally appropriate, and trauma-informed care aligned environments for all children in conjunction with NH Child Care Licensing Unit (NH CCLU) rules and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accreditation Standards.

(c) Promote and model developmentally appropriate communication, hygiene, behavior, and nutrition. (d) Assist with daily and weekly maintenance, sterilization of materials, or cleaning to operate a clean, safe, and well-equipped classroom. (e) Support children during challenging behaviors using positive guidance, developmentally appropriate redirection, and proactive social-emotional strategies. (f) Take responsibility for appropriate child supervision, circle times, small groups and individual work as needed.
* Perform child observation, child assessment and timely records keeping in alignment NAEYC accreditation standards demonstrating the use of authentic documentation of children’s daily experiences to demonstrate growth over time.
* Perform on-going developmental evaluations while following curriculum implementation that addresses the individual needs of each child. In addition, collect and organize ongoing assessment and documentation materials of children as the basis for curriculum development and reporting to families.
* Actively contributes to the ongoing professional development, coaching, and supervision of all classroom Teacher I’s, Program Assistants, Volunteers, Interns, etc.
