Summer IT Asset Technician; Temporary

Intellicheck is looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual for a temporary summer position supporting our IT asset disposition program. This role focuses on the physical processing, data erasure, and condition assessment of retired Windows and Apple Mac laptops to determine their suitability for donation or recycling.

• Perform secure data erasure on laptops using Blancco erasure software in accordance with established procedures
• Conduct OS reloads to return laptops to an out-of-box (OOB) condition
• Inspect and match the correct power adapters to the corresponding laptop units
• Evaluate each laptop's physical and functional condition to determine if it qualifies for donation or should be directed to recycling
• Collect, organize, and upload Blancco erasure certificates to the company's SharePoint system
• Maintain accurate records of processed assets throughout the disposition workflow
• Flag any irregularities or questions to the supervisor in a timely manner

Required:

• Basic familiarity with laptop hardware and common operating systems (Windows and macOS)
• Ability to follow detailed, step-by-step technical procedures consistently and accurately
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift and handle laptop equipment safely

Preferred:

• Prior experience with data erasure tools or IT asset disposition (ITAD) processes
• Experience with OS imaging or reimaging
• Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint or similar cloud storage platforms

Hours are flexible and will not exceed 29 hours per week. Scheduling will be coordinated with the supervisor to meet both project needs and candidate availability.

Intellicheck uses Slack for internal communications. The successful candidate will be expected to use Slack for day-to-day messaging and coordination with the team.
