Transition Manager - IT Managed Services

Summary

Ensures overall success of Managed Services’ Transition projects by acting as the project leader and process expert in planning and directing the successful onboarding of new customers into the Logicalis Managed Services’ platform, including Infrastructure Remote Monitoring & Management, Managed Cloud Services, Data Center, Security, Collaboration, Network, and Service Desk services.

• Ensure successful onboarding of Managed Services' clients through collaborative planning and execution with Logicalis and customer IT resources.
• Maintain working knowledge of IT Service Management and ITIL principles.
• Provide expertise during pre‑sales process, conveying the value of the Logicalis MS Transition Methodology to migrate customers to our support platform.
• Develop project design approach and documentation as key expert/consultant.
• Identify project dependencies and develop implementation plans to meet required timelines and requirements.
• Manage expectations and execute communication plans to ensure stakeholder support.
• Identify transition project risks and implement mitigation plans as needed.
• Work with management to assign appropriate technical resources from Professional Services and Managed Services.
• Monitor and manage key Transition KPIs to drive continuous improvement and standardization.
• Communicate directly with customers and key stakeholders regarding transition project health, issues, risk, and key decisions.
• Serve as the primary authority for onboarding activities and responsible for quality gate validations and clean handover of a functional program to Managed Services Operations.
• Demonstrate and promote an understanding and commitment to the mission of Logicalis through consistent behaviors aligned with the organization’s values.
• Maintain a working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and Logicalis policies and procedures to ensure ethical and professional conduct.
• Support and conduct self in a manner consistent with customer service expectations.

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities but indirectly manages various Logicalis Professional Services and Managed Services resources assigned to transitions.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technologies or Business Administration strongly preferred.

• Broad understanding of Managed Security Services technologies, including exposure to SIEM, NGFW, endpoint security beyond antivirus, vulnerability management fundamentals, and cloud computing (Azure).
• Broad understanding of infrastructure concepts like NAT and terminal servers, and security concepts like least privilege and role‑based access control.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into ITSM and ITIL requirements.
• 3 or more years of experience in at least two of the following areas:
  Managed Services Transition project management or consulting, IT Service Management project management on strategic enterprise‑wide initiatives, process management in design, documentation, and implementation, technical architect role.
• One or more of the following certifications or equivalent:
  Lean Six Sigma, ITIL Foundations, PMP, Scrum, or CAPM, and IT certifications or cybersecurity credentials from (ISC)², CompTIA, ISACA, or GIAC.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills applied to process improvement.
• Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑departmental teams.

Requirements include sitting, talking, seeing, hearing, and using hands and arms; standing, moving about, climbing steps, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
