Summary Registered Nurse IUnder the direct supervision of the Unit Nursing Coordinator, the RN I utilizes the Nursing Process to manage patients’ presenting behavior and assist in meeting immediate and long‑term needs for help. Reacts to patient care situations and uses knowledge to inform and guide attempts to find solutions to problems. Practices within standards of the department, hospital, and regulatory agencies.
Registered Nurse IIUnder the direct supervision of the Unit Nursing Coordinator, the RN II utilizes the Nursing Process to manage patients’ presenting behavior and assist in meeting immediate and long‑term needs for help. Responds to patient care situations and uses knowledge and experience to find solutions to problems. Practices within standards of the department, hospital, and regulatory agencies.
Registered Nurse IIIUnder the direct supervision of the Unit Nursing Coordinator, the RN III utilizes the Nursing Process to manage patients’ presenting behavior and assist in meeting immediate and long‑term needs for help. Anticipates patient care situations and uses knowledge, experience and expertise to proactively plan solutions to anticipated problems. Practices within standards of the department, hospital, and regulatory agencies.
Minimum qualifications Registered Nurse I- Education
:
Graduation from a recognized nursing program with affiliate or postgraduate courses and clinical experience in medical, surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, and psychiatric nursing. - Experience
:
Experience is limited to that required for registration. - License/Certification
:
Current license as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire. - Special requirements
:
Employees may be required to work additional hours beyond their normal shift to meet patient care needs and safe staffing levels as established by the Nursing Department of New Hampshire Hospital.
- Education
:
Graduation from a recognized nursing program with affiliate or postgraduate courses and clinical experience in medical, surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, and psychiatric nursing. - Experience
:
One year's experience as a registered nurse in a setting equivalent to the position assigned. - License/Certification
:
Current license as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire. - Special requirements
:

- Education
:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with major study in nursing, human services, psychology, or a related field. - Experience
:
One year of experience as a registered nurse in a setting similar or equivalent to the position assigned. - OR
- Education
:
Graduation from a recognized nursing program and possession of an Associate’s degree in nursing, human services, psychology, or a related field. - Experience
:
Two years’ experience as a registered nurse in a residential, nursing home, long‑term care facility, or similar setting. - License/Certification
: - Current license as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire.
- Current certification in CPR.
- Certified by the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized certifying entity in a specialty area (psychiatric and mental health nursing, gerontological nursing, maternal and child nursing, oncology, wound care, or a specialty related to long‑term nursing care).
