Volt is immediately hiring Inspection Technician at Londonderry, NH
As an Inspection Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Perform precision mechanical inspections from dimensioned drawings using calipers, micrometers, surface plate, height gages, gage blocks, gage pins, optical comparator, toolmakers microscope, coordinate measuring machine, and other standard inspection equipment.
- Perform visual inspections of electronic assemblies using microscopes & magnifiers.
- Perform first article inspections and generate detailed reports when required.
- Communicate discrepant findings verbally and via written discrepancy reports to Supplier Quality Engineers/Technicians (SQE/SQT).
- Independently perform source inspection at local suppliers.
- Participate in MRB meetings to support SQE/SQT's.
- Accurately maintain records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures
- Identify equipment needs for jobs requiring new or custom metrology tools.
- Identify Dock to Stock (DTS) candidates per established procedures. Present nominations to SQE.
- Work closely with buyers, planners, design engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers and program leadership.
- Support SQE/SQT with routine supplier audits when required.
This is a 12 Month full-time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity.
What We're Looking For:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Experience maintaining records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures
- IPC-A-610 Certification
- Hexagon CMM certification (PC-DMIS software)
- Keyence Vision system programming experience
- Optical lens inspection experience
Pay Range: $27-28/hr.
* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
