Hours: 40 Hours per week (opportunity for overtime)

Pay Range: $20-26 per hour, depending on experience

Job Description:

Technician Level III

As a Level III Technician, under the general direction of the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide a wide range of maintenance services on company automotive vehicles, including buses, vans, and service vehicles.

This entry service position requires completing PMI service procedures as outlined in our maintenance standard operating procedures (SOPs). The scope of this position will be consistent with preventive maintenance procedures and minor defect repairs found during services or reported through driver vehicle inspections.

Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough, accurate preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Complete all required maintenance operations, including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation following schedules.
  • Perform unscheduled maintenance as needed under direction from the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Carry out complex operations such as engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs and field tests, interpreting and working from drawings, specifications, and other technical materials.
  • Provide emergency roadside services as needed.
  • Inspect equipment and diagnose mechanical defects.
  • Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately.
  • Maintain tools and workplaces to keep conditions neat and orderly.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Must be willing to work on call service calls, extended hours, or weekend work when emergency conditions arise.
  • Occasionally drive vans, buses, and vehicles to perform road tests and similar tasks.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or mechanic preferred.

Accreditation from a school or certification program preferred.

Complete all training requirements.
