Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As a Shop Service Technician – Paving Equipment, you’ll work on specialized machines to ensure they are operating reliably and performing at a high level:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Repair, rebuild, and maintain paving equipment and components
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble machine components
  • Test equipment to verify proper operation

    Complete service reports and documentation accurately
  • Stay current with evolving tools, systems, and technology
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
  • Work collaboratively with your team to meet service goals
Qualifications

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of heavy equipment or diesel technician experience (or Diesel/Technical degree)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Experience with paving equipment (preferred, not required)
  • Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills (service systems & documentation)
  • Your own tools
  • A safety-first mindset and attention to detail
