Courier​/Swing Drvr​/DOT

Overview

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages; checks shipments for conformance to Fed Ex service features; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma/GED.

• Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area (preferred).
• Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and effective courier methods.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

• Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver s license in accordance with state requirements for the vehicle type assigned; maintain a good driving record as outlined in policy.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

• Starting Pay: $23.42
• Additional details:
  Tuesday–Saturday, various hours.
