Job Summary
The Material Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels by conducting routine cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting overall inventory control efforts. This role ensures proper material flow and availability for production while adhering to company policies and quality standards in a light industrial manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Update inventory data in the ERP (SAP experience preferred).
- Monitor material movement and ensure proper storage and labeling.
- Collaborate with warehouse, production, and purchasing teams to address inventory issues.
- Assist with root cause analysis for inventory errors and recommend corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and material handling.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in inventory control or supply chain preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in inventory control, materials handling, or warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (SAP preferred) and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes.
- Forklift certification, preferred.
