Senior Accountant – Cash Accounting & Reconciliations

On-site in either Lone Tree, CO or Omaha, NE

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support corporate cash accounting, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities for a large, complex organization. This role partners closely with internal accounting, treasury, operations, and billing teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and SOX-compliant processes.

Rate: $35.00 to $45.00/hr. w2

• Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly corporate cash accounting activities within the Controller’s organization.
• Prepare journal entries for cash transfers, write-offs, reclasses, and related month-end activity.
• Reconcile general ledger cash, investment, and Accounts Receivable accounts to bank statements and supporting documentation.
• Execute and maintain accounting controls in a SOX-compliant environment for the parent company and subsidiaries.
• Partner with Cashiering, Operations, Treasury, Billing, and other internal teams to ensure timely and accurate transaction recording and account reconciliations.
• Support management reporting, aged item reporting, client refunds, payment research, deposit corrections, and ad hoc monthly requests.

• 3–5 years of high-volume cash reconciliation or corporate accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and account reconciliation best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with large enterprise reporting systems preferred.
• Experience with People Soft Financials, Recon Net, Alteryx, or automated account reconciliation software is a plus.
• Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to collaborate across accounting, operations, treasury, and billing teams.
• Proactive, results-oriented approach with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Financial services industry experience is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
