Project Manager - Construction

Location:

Onsite in Lone Tree, CO

Salary: $120-140k DOE

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead medium-to-large building projects from preconstruction through turnover. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, site supervision and commissioning to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to required quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, contract and subcontractor management, cost control and practical construction experience, with familiarity in BIM, permitting and OSHA compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project delivery from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget and quality targets.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project or Primavera; monitor progress and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays.
  • Prepare and review estimates, budgets and cash flow projections; maintain rigorous cost control and track project financial performance.
  • Perform quantity surveying activities including measurement, valuation and change order preparation.
  • Manage contracts and subcontractor relationships: negotiate scopes, review subcontracts, oversee performance and enforce contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement and materials management to optimize lead times, costs and on-site logistics.
  • Oversee site supervision and daily field operations, ensuring safety, productivity and quality control in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Manage permitting processes and liaise with authorities having jurisdiction to obtain required approvals and inspections.
  • Administer RFIs, submittals and change orders; maintain clear documentation and timely responses to project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate BIM workflows and clash detection with design and trade partners to improve constructability and reduce rework.
  • Implement lean construction principles to drive efficiency, waste reduction and continuous improvement on site.
  • Prepare and manage commissioning, punch lists and closeout documentation to ensure successful turnover and client satisfaction.
  • Identify and manage project risks; develop mitigation plans and maintain a project risk register.
  • Communicate regularly with owners, design teams, subcontractors and internal stakeholders; prepare progress reports and present project status updates.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of progressive construction project management experience on commercial, institutional or multifamily projects; experience with medium-to-large scale projects preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in project scheduling (MS Project, Primavera), estimating, cost control and budgeting.
  • Experience with quantity surveying, measurement and preparing change orders.
  • Strong contract administration and subcontractor management experience.
  • Proven experience managing procurement, materials logistics and site supervision.
  • Working knowledge of BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks) and experience coordinating BIM workflows.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes, commissioning, punch list management, RFIs and submittals.
  • Solid understanding of OSHA requirements and a commitment to safety management on site (OSHA 30 preferred).
  • Experience applying lean construction practices and continuous improvement methods.
  • Excellent blueprint reading and construction document interpretation skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite and project management software; experience with estimating and cost-control software a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, or LEED, are a bonus, but not required.
