Heavy Civil Superintendent / Field Engineer
Overview: We are seeking a Superintendent / Field Engineer to oversee heavy civil and infrastructure projects in the Denver area, including earthwork, grading, utilities, and concrete structures. This hands-on leader will coordinate crews, subcontractors, and schedules in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily field operations for civil and site development projects.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to complete projects safely, on time, and within budget.
- Review plans, specifications, and submittals; provide field-level technical guidance.
- Manage earthwork, utilities, concrete, and drainage activities for public and private projects.
- Ensure compliance with drawings, standards, and safety procedures.
- Track daily quantities, labor, and materials; assist with scheduling and forecasting.
- Communicate with owners, inspectors, and subcontractors to maintain progress and resolve issues.
- Enforce company and OSHA safety standards through leadership and audits.
Qualifications:
2–5 years of heavy civil construction experience.
Background in earthwork, utilities, drainage, or roadway construction.
Ability to read and interpret civil plans and grading blueprints.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; experience with Trimble or Topcon preferred.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
OSHA 30 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Willingness to travel within the Denver–Colorado Springs corridor.
