Position Overview
As a BIM Specialist at Kiewit, you will serve as the expert in design technology tools, integrating multiple discipline workflows and supporting complex project tasks.
Responsibilities- Leverage academic background in design technology and AEC workflows.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of modeling and multi‑discipline coordination techniques.
- Apply knowledge to create quality assets for the enterprise digital design library and projects.
- Monitor ongoing projects for errors and enforce model/drawing cleanup.
- Ensure adherence to established standards and client requirements.
- Provide day‑to‑day support for design technology software.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain accurate and coordinated BIM models.
- Assist in developing and enforcing BIM execution plans.
- Alert design team members to software changes impacting discipline‑specific workflows.
- Teach design technology skills to engineers and architects and foster a problem‑solving mindset.
- Maintain deliverable quality in accordance with client and contract standards.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, receiving direction from senior designers and project teams.
- Ability to adjust to varying demands and perform well.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Team collaboration, acceptance of direction, and individual contribution to team success.
- Consultation with senior team members for internal customer direction.
- Basic proficiency in Revit and Navisworks.
- Capability to manage responsibilities and meet deadlines under supervision.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Bentley and Autodesk products (Revit, ORD, Navisworks).
- Familiarity with design technology and software techniques.
- Certification in Autodesk Revit or Bentley ORD.
- Regular, reliable attendance.
- Productive work and timely deadline compliance.
- Professional communication and interaction with supervisors and colleagues.
- Safe work practices and adherence to instructions and policies.
- Work during normal hours; overtime and weekend work as required.
This position is based out of Lone Tree, CO or New York, NY.
CompensationBase Compensation: $75,000/yr – $85,000/yr (actual subject to variation by education, experience, skillset, and location).
