Principal Systems Engineer
- Embedded
Duration: 6 Month
Location: Englewood, CO
Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of next-generation aircraft within the New Aircraft Design Program, shaping the future of military aviation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, materials, manufacturing) to ensure successful execution from concept to production.
- Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services for the UJTS program, covering a wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through integrated aircraft to orbital/space systems.
- Develop complex aerodynamic components, structures, and systems; perform design, analysis and testing throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support requirements management, verification and validation (V&V) principles and technical risk management strategies.
- Must Have
Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices; progressive experience in multi-disciplinary design and development teams; advanced understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and V&V principles. - Preferred
Skills:
Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools (e.g., DOORS, Rhapsody, No
Magic, MATLAB); MBSE and MBSE-related design principles; INCOSE standards experience or certification; aerospace and defense industry background; experience leading baseline definition in complex development with high-impact trade studies; ability to establish and track Technical Performance Measurements (TPM). - Education Must Haves:
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experience.
Rarely exposed to outdoor elements; rare exposure to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials; rare exposure to loud noises.
