Position OverviewKiewit Industrial and Water Engineering (KIWE) is expanding and adding Mid to Senior level Structural Designers to support a variety of engineering and construction projects within our Industrial and Water markets. The role involves developing REVIT models for foundations and steel structures, collaborating with a team of engineers, and contributing to project success through structural design excellence.

- Perform 3‑D designs of concrete, structural steel, modular steel, and other industrial components using REVIT and Navisworks for clash detection.
- Coordinate with design group members to review and exchange project information, leveraging BIM and Autodesk Construction Cloud to create plans, sections, details, and reports.
- Develop Revit models and convert sketches, markups, and calculations into detailed design drawings.
- Manage project information, ensuring compliance with data management standards and policies.
- Maintain design documentation throughout all design and construction phases.
- Coordinate project details and specifications with the construction team through an integrated design process.
- Verify designs for consistency, safety, operability, and maintenance before submission.
- Assist project managers, engineers, and designers in meeting schedule, budget, and quality goals.
- Mentor junior team members in design and modeling techniques.
- Contribute to the development of department standards and tools.
- Minimum 5 years of professional structural design experience; 2+ years with Navisworks and BIM/ACC.
- Proficiency in REVIT (preferred) and Autodesk documents, plus MS Office.
- Experience designing foundations, platforms, pipe‑racks, tanks, and related industrial structures.
- Ability to manage complex BIM projects and use spreadsheet, database, and word‑processing tools.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with multidisciplinary teams.
- Capable of interpreting multi‑disciplinary engineering and vendor documents.
- Professional representation of Kiewit to external parties.
Full‑time responsibilities include regular, reliable attendance, meeting deadlines, and maintaining professional communication. Work may require overtime and weekend hours as needed.
CompensationBase Salary: $88,000–$92,000 per year (subject to variation based on education, experience, and location).
