Job Summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking a Traction Power and Electrical Power Designer to support the growth of the electrical department across national infrastructure projects. The designer will report to an Engineering Manager or a Senior Traction Power Engineer and develop drawings for electrical power systems, traction power systems, communication systems, and ATC systems.

Location

This position can be located in McLean, VA;
Itasca, IL; or Lone Tree, CO.

Responsibilities
  • Develop AUTOCAD electrical drawings for rail transit systems or other infrastructural projects.
  • Create 3D Revit models for rail facilities.
  • Perform field surveys when required.
  • Review CAD requirements from clients and develop internal CAD standards for projects.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years' experience in Electrical Power and/or traction power design.
  • Ability to travel as business requires.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Proficient in AUTOCAD software.
  • Proficient in Revit software.
  • Experience in Rail Transit Business is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering fields is preferred.
  • Experience with Micro Station is preferred.
  • Experience working with AI agents and tools is preferred.

  • May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
Base Compensation

$103,000/yr - $108,000/yr (actual compensation may vary based on education, experience, skillset, and location).
