Structural Engineer in Training (EIT) – Lone Tree, CO

Responsibilities- Assist Project Manager with development and preparation of plans, specifications, technical reports, and estimates.
- Assist Project Managers in design and construction of structural systems: reinforced concrete, wood, masonry, structural steel, steel joists, light gauge steel.
- Assist Project Managers in performing structural design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including water‑tight structures.
- Assist design engineers in performing structural design of commercial, industrial and residential structures.
- Perform construction observation and administration on projects.
- Perform design drafting to prepare project drawings and details.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (with a structural emphasis) or related field.
- Successfully completed Fundamentals of Engineering exam, or ability to complete within 6 months.
- Working knowledge and experience using Revit, AutoCAD, and other CAD software.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and curiosity.
- Ability to travel as required.
- All applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (criminal background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search, etc.).
- Proficient in Revit.
- Intern or employment experience related to structural design, building construction, or project management.
- Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain.
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Occasional climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling light to moderate amounts of weight; may lift up to 20 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to inspect equipment, structures or materials to identify errors or defects.
- May require wearing PPE, e.g., flame resistant clothing, hard hat, protective footwear.
- May require occasional evenings and weekends; overtime varies with workload.
- May require travel to off‑site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town.
