Kiewit Industrial and Water Engineering (KIWE) is expanding and adding Mid to Senior level Structural Designers. The role involves developing REVIT models for foundations and steel structures, working with engineers, and contributing to project success.

Available at Kiewit offices in Lone Tree, Colorado;
Lenexa, Kansas;
Bloomington, Minnesota. Relocation assistance offered to Lenexa or Lone Tree. Flexible work options available.

• Perform 3D designs of concrete, structural steel, modular steel, and other structures for industrial facilities using REVIT and Navisworks for clash detection.
• Coordinate with design group members to review and exchange project information, leveraging BIM and Autodesk Construction Cloud to create plans, sections, details and reports.
• Manage project information and ensure compliance with development information and information management standards.
• Maintain design documentation through all design and construction phases.
• Ensure project details and specifications are coordinated and communicated to construction team.
• Check designs for consistency, safety, operability, and maintenance requirements before submitting.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to meet schedule, budget, and quality constraints.
• Mentor team members in design and modeling techniques.
• Assist in development of department standards and tools.

• 5+ years structural design experience in steel and concrete structures, using REVIT (preferred) or similar tool.
• 2+ years professional experience in Navisworks and Autodesk documents with proficiency in Autodesk and Microsoft products.
• Experience designing foundations, platforms, pipe-racks, tanks, and related structures for industrial, water, or manufacturing facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex BIM/ACC projects and use spreadsheets, databases, and word processing programs.
• Ability to interpret multi-discipline engineering and vendor documents.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, effective in team settings.
• Ability to implement detailed project specifications and communicate effectively.
• Professional representation of Kiewit to owners, contractors, vendors, and external contacts.

Base Compensation: $88,000/yr – $92,000/yr (actual compensation may vary).
