As an Engineering Manager, you will be using your skills and expertise to manage functional teams through program execution for our products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You will represent the engineering department at all management level meetings. You'll ensure that the engineering design, documentation, and approvals meet the program schedules, are obtained in a timely manner and that engineering hours expended are productive, meeting program goals and budgets.
You will own and continuously improve processes and procedures, oversee training of staff and provide technical direction as required.

Responsibilities:
- Support project staffing plans, schedules, budgets, bids, and estimates for proposed program work packages, including the execution of risk mitigation plans.
- Ensure the availability and effectiveness of required tools, processes, and training to achieve program success, while aligning with SNC tools/processes and industry best practices/standards.
- Manage resource allocations required for program task execution, as well as risk, issue, and challenge identification.
- Collaborate with the business to determine staffing requirements and help source, screen, interview, and hire top engineering talent.
- Execute onboarding support, training, mentorship, and career path/talent development activities for engineering discipline teams.
- Provide career path support, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate conflict resolution.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline
- Typically, 8+ years of progressive engineering experience, which includes 4+ years of management experience.
- Experience leading the development, maturation, and approval of product level designs
- Advanced knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes
- Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis and simulation
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
- Experience with CATIA 3DExperience
- Familiarity with industry standard drafting standards per ASME Y14.100 or the DRMs
