We have an immediate opening for Process Engineers to support projects across the Process Industries and Water/Wastewater markets. You will be part of a growing organization that develops practical, constructible process engineering solutions for customers across North America. These solutions are designed to transition seamlessly from concept and detailed design through construction, commissioning, and successful project delivery. In this role, you will provide process engineering support for evaluation, selection, design, optimization, and implementation of process systems associated with Kiewit's EPC projects and pursuits.

Responsibilities:

Perform process design activities related to hydraulics, material balances, utility requirements, equipment sizing, process controls, interdisciplinary coordination, and technical evaluations of vendor proposals, equipment data, and supplier documentation.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams, including mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and controls, civil, structural, estimating, construction, and commissioning teams, to support technical deliverables, resolve design questions, and maintain quality, consistency, and technical accuracy. Communicate process-specific progress, deadlines, deliverable status, and technical issues that may affect project scope, schedule, or budget through project meetings, kickoff meetings, weekly status meetings, lead reports, design reviews, and model reviews.

Provide technical support for issues associated with design, construction, equipment, commissioning, and/or operations while executing engineering work within established project scope, schedule, and budget. Contribute to the improvement of company resources, tools, workflows, and design standards while developing industry knowledge and process engineering skills through active project and pursuit work.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil/Environmental, or related Engineering discipline. 3 to 8 years of experience in process development, conceptual design, detailed design, process engineering, or similar technical functions within process industries, industrial facilities, water/wastewater, or related markets. Experience developing or supporting engineering deliverables such as block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, P&IDs, design basis documents, equipment datasheets, specifications, line lists, process calculations, and technical reports.

Experience with process simulation, hydraulic modeling, equipment sizing, process controls coordination, and interdisciplinary engineering coordination is preferred. Experience performing vendor data reviews and technical evaluations of equipment or process systems is preferred. Professional Engineer registration preferred, or ability and intent to pursue PE registration within the next few years. Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local regulations, codes, standards, and permitting requirements related to process systems, industrial facilities, water treatment, wastewater treatment, or discharge requirements is preferred.
