Position Overview

Kiewit is seeking several highly skilled Sr. Building Structural Engineer to lead the analysis, design, and detailing of complex structural systems for large‑scale vertical projects. This role demands deep proficiency in advanced structural modeling, seismic and wind load evaluation, steel and concrete design, and constructability‑focused engineering that aligns with Kiewit’s integrated design‑build delivery. District Overview

Kiewit Architectural & Engineering (KAE) delivers fully integrated design and engineering solutions for some of North America’s most complex and high visibility infrastructure, energy and building programs. Working hand in hand with Kiewit’s construction operations, the group provides coordinated Progressive Design Build (PDB), Design Build (DB), Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) and other alternative delivery models, that reduces risk, accelerates delivery, and drives innovative, cost‑effective outcomes.

Location

These positions can be based out of any of the following offices:
Woodcliff Lake NJ, Manhattan NY or Lone Tree Colorado offices, with occasional travel to other Kiewit offices and project sites.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the structural design and analysis of various projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications.
  • Utilize building codes, technical knowledge of structural behavior, and understanding of construction practices to establish design, renovation and/or repair scope recommendations for large‑scale commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.
  • Perform structural calculations, modeling, and simulations to validate design integrity and address construction‑related challenges.
  • Evaluate design drawings and documentation. Produce designs, plan production, building layout/profiles, specifications, and construction documents for multiple projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the construction team and client representatives to provide timely engineering support during the design and construction phases.
