Seeking an Ultrasound Technologist Perinatal / Perinatal Ultra Sonographer for our practice who provides specialized expertise to ensure all patients receive high‑quality, efficient care.
Responsibilities- Apply fetal ultrasound principles in the evaluation of fetal anomalies.
- Apply gynecological ultrasound principles in the evaluation of patients.
- Adapt to various ultrasound machines while maintaining high standards of sonography.
- Identify fetal anomalies, such as CNS, maxillofacial, cardiothoracic, abdominal wall, genitourinary, extremity, placental, and umbilical cord growth disturbances.
- Perform ultrasounds on maternal uterus, cervix, and ovaries.
- Perform complicated twin and triplet scans in conjunction with in‑office multiple gestation service.
- Identify gynecological anomalies such as fibroids, thickened endometrium, and polyps.
- Make preliminary, equivocal diagnosis of gynecological and fetal disorders in the organ systems mentioned above.
- Operate General Electric, Accuson, Medison, and ATL ultrasound machines with proficiency.
- Continue to expand knowledge of latest technology.
- Maintain ultrasound logging records including past medical history, past surgical history, past obstetric history, and past genetic history.
- Prepare patients for procedures including Level I & II ultrasounds, amniocentesis, lung maturity amniocentesis, PUBS, amniotic reduction, external cephalic version, and GYN ultrasound.
- Maintain professional relationships with other staff members, other obstetric offices, and hospital personnel.
- Exercise independent judgement when interpreting Biophysical Profiles designed to assess fetal well‑being.
- Alert physicians of potentially dangerous conditions and diagnose fetal weight disturbances based on fetal biometry.
- Diagnose multiple fetal anomalies and report and demonstrate them to the physician.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of one‑year specialty ultrasound experience required.
- Associate’s degree in Ultrasound required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- RDMS required.
- RDMS – OB/GYN preferred.
