Job Summary

This PRN Radiology Administrative Coordinator supports the mission of the facility by optimizing the quality of life of all patients. Under the supervision of the Radiology Supervisor, Manager, and Director, the coordinator manages radiology pre‑authorizations, insurance verifications, scheduling, and authorization for radiology procedures across all modalities. They train and assist staff with the process and provide high‑standard customer service to patients, families, and physician offices.

Responsibilities

The coordinator will: provide customer service and communication for CT, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, IR, diagnostic, and MRI services; serve as the first line coordinator for staff and patients; handle behavioral issues of patients and visitors while under stress; assist with secretarial duties; and perform other duties assigned by leadership. The position is PRN, with shifts on an as‑needed basis (average 2–3 shifts per week).

No travel required.

Qualifications
  • BLS certification through AHA or ARC
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Associate’s Degree (minimum 2 years) or higher education;
    High School Graduate/GED acceptable
  • 3+ years secretarial/clerical experience in a healthcare setting highly preferred
  • Experience in medical scheduling and insurance verification preferred
