Respiratory Therapist - Lone Tree

Jogan Health is looking for an experienced Respiratory Therapist LOCAL to work in Lone Tree, Colorado for a 13-week assignment.

Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Pay Local: $35/hr

36 hours weekly

Schedules: Night shifts: 6 pm - 6 am

Contract Type: 13 weeks

• Perform duties as directed by supervisors, including those described below.
• Work with electronic patient management systems.
• Perform chest examinations on a range of patients from babies to the elderly.
• Consult with doctors and other health-care staff to develop and modify treatment plans.
• Check pulmonary function in patients.
• Monitor patient physiological responses to therapy (arterial blood gases, vital signs, blood chemistry, lung function changes) and consult physicians if adverse reactions occur.
• Set up and operate devices including therapeutic gas administration apparatus, mechanical ventilators, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.
• Educate patients on how to use equipment and medication.
• Regularly check on patients and equipment.
• Inspect, test, clean, and maintain respiratory-therapy equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Maintain charts that contain patient identification and therapy information.
• Relay blood-analysis results to physicians.
