The Patient Care Coordinator ensures a positive patient experience by managing registration, appointment scheduling, and communication between patients and healthcare providers. They handle patient inquiries, verify insurance coverage, and assist with billing, contributing to smooth administrative operations and high-quality care.

• Greet and register patients, collecting accurate personal and insurance details.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, coordinating with providers for optimal flow.
• Answer calls professionally, addressing inquiries and routing communications appropriately.
• Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing questions and payments.
• Maintain organized patient records, ensuring compliance with privacy standards.
• Perform pre-visit planning to remind patients of appointments and insurance verification.

• High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare administration education preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and scheduling software.
• Strong communication and telephone etiquette skills.
• Knowledge of medical insurance and billing processes.

• Experience in a primary care or outpatient setting preferred.
• Understanding of healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA.
• Certification in medical office administration is a plus.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
