Pay: $90,000.00 - $ per year + Bonus
This Senior Payroll Specialist role supports a fast-paced, multi-entity organization with employees across multiple states. The position owns end-to-end payroll processing, serves as the ADP Workforce Now subject matter expert, and plays a key role in maintaining accurate, compliant payroll operations as the organization continues to grow.
Responsibilities include processing and reviewing payroll for multiple entities, validating hours, earnings, deductions, benefits, and taxes, handling off-cycle payrolls, and reconciling payroll to funding, tax filings, and general ledger outputs. The role partners closely with HR and Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies, ensure accurate labor costing, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
This position also supports payroll setup for newly added entities, including ADP Workforce Now configuration, data validation, parallel testing, first payroll runs, and multi-state payroll tax setup. Additional responsibilities include supporting quarterly and year-end payroll processes, maintaining accurate employee tax profiles, producing payroll and labor reports, training payroll contacts and timekeepers, standardizing payroll processes, performing targeted payroll reviews, and creating clear SOPs and documentation.
Qualifications- 3 to 5+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll in a multi-entity environment (required)
- Strong hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (required)
- Solid knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting payroll system implementations, conversions, or acquisitions preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with detailed payroll data
- Experience creating documentation and training others on payroll processes
