As a Systems Security Manager II, you will take on a more strategic role in overseeing the organization's information security policies and practices. Reporting to the Systems Security Director, you will manage a larger team, lead critical security initiatives, and ensure the robustness of the organization's security posture.
The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4
ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries. Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive information security policies.
* Manage a larger, more diverse systems security team.
* Oversee and coordinate complex security projects.
* Conduct advanced risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
* Monitor and respond to sophisticated security incidents.
* Mentor and develop junior security managers and staff.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security integration.
* Research, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge security technologies.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Report on security metrics and incidents to executive management. Qualifications You Must Have:
* Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology or related Engineering field of study.
* 9+ years of experience in IT security or a related field.
* Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.
* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
* Leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews.
* Knowledge of technical standards relating to systems security; experience administering UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems, experience with large-scale server systems, thin client architecture, system virtualization and other related peripherals.
* Experience with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) requirements as outlined in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DOD, ICD 503, Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) & National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) RMF.
* Experience with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001.
* 24 months of experience as ISSM work on USAF Classified Platform IT Systems Assessments & Authorization, accreditation packages, and Continuous Monitoring.
* Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). Qualifications We Prefer:
* Graduate degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology or related Engineering field of study.
* Experience with software such as Splunk or ELK [other Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)], ACAS / Nessus, HBSS, eMASS or Xacta.
* Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures.
* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense (Civilian), NASA/Civil or commercial space and/or US Military, with an understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets.
