We are seeking an individual with experience working with retirement plans, investment products, and asset managers.

The Manager of Retirement Product Services will lead and oversee our collective investment trust, group trust and unitized managed account business, ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality of service and support. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of retirement plans, Collective Investment Trusts, working with record keepers, custodians, asset managers, and other vendors. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to drive growth in our retirement services.

DUTIES

AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Daily Operations and Workflow Management:
    Oversee and actively participate in the day-to-day administration of collective investment trusts, group trusts, unitized managed accounts, and other retirement investment products. Manage team workloads, establish priorities, monitor deadlines, and ensure operational responsibilities are completed accurately and timely.
  • Product Implementation and Lifecycle Management:
    Manage new fund launches, client and plan onboarding, account establishment, investment manager and service-provider coordination, operational changes, and fund or client terminations.
  • Vendor and Industry Coordination:
    Serve as a primary operational contact for recordkeepers, custodians, asset managers, transfer agents, auditors, administrators, legal counsel, and other service providers.
  • Controls and Procedures:
    Develop, document, and maintain operating procedures, service standards, quality-control reviews, escalation protocols, and risk-management controls in partnership with legal and compliance.
  • Issue Resolution:
    Take ownership of operational and client-service issues, coordinate the appropriate internal and external resources, and ensure matters are resolved and communicated promptly.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directly supervises (# of employees) within the Retirement Product Services department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field or a equivalent combination of education and relevant retirement-industry experience.
  • Professional credentials such as QKA, QKC, QPA, CPC, CIMA, or similar retirement or investment-industry designations are preferred
  • Eight or more years of experience within the retirement industry, preferably with a recordkeeper, custodian, trust company, asset manager, or retirement-product provider. Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a team.
  • Experience coordinating with recordkeepers, custodians, asset managers, transfer agents, administrators, auditors, legal counsel, and other third-party service providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a player-coach by managing and developing employees while remaining actively involved in daily operations and issue resolution.
  • In-depth knowledge, retirement plans, including 401(k), 401(a), 403(b), IRA, pension plans, and other retirement solutions.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, managing teams, and driving business growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships, and represent the firm at industry events.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the retirement industry.
