Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center in Lone Tree, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care OR experience and active CO or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Ambulatory surgery center setting located adjacent to a full medical center within the HCA Health

ONE system,

• Operating Room unit serving a generally lower-acuity patient population with a wide variety of surgical cases,

• Surgical specialties include orthopedic sports medicine, general surgery, ENT, pediatrics, GYN, podiatry, plastics, and urology,

• Patient ratio is 1:1 in the OR and 2:1 in the PACU,

• Staff of approximately 40, including PACU and OR charge nurses, OR RNs, Surgical Techs, SPD Tech, and Rad Tech,

• EMR:
Paper charting and SIS,

• Day shift schedule: 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM,

• No night shift coverage required,

• Floating to other surgery centers in the Denver area is required on an as-needed basis,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact RN license required,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date),

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care OR RN experience required,

• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

• US SSN and DOB required for consideration,

• One professional reference required,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible - local candidates are not accepted,

Additional Information

• Experience circulating across a variety of surgical service lines in a fast-paced environment is preferred,

• Pediatric OR experience is a plus,

• The ideal candidate is flexible, a self-starter, and brings a positive attitude,

• The surgery center has a stable, tenured team and is seeking additional support while filling an open position,

• Candidates with 2+ years of clinical experience in the specialty may be given additional consideration per HCA regional requirements
