The Postpartum / Mother-baby nurse (RN) educates and assists new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the post partum period. The role involves caring for infants, teaching mothers about care practices, and monitoring maternal recovery.

• Active RN license
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS & NRP certification
• Minimum 18 months of recent experience in an Acute Care Mother/Baby setting
• Additional requirements as specified by the client facility

• Provide care to both mothers and newborns after delivery.
• Monitor mothers during the critical post‑delivery period and recognize signs of postpartum depression, offering guidance on emotional health.
• Teach parents how to care for their newborn, including bathing, feeding (breast or bottle), and monitoring infant health.
