General Information
  • Number of Beds – 19 patient rooms, 6 PACU rooms, 6 triage rooms, 3 L&D ORs
  • Number of Staff – Matrix is 8-10 for night shift
  • Type of Staff
    • Day Shift – example 1 charge, 3 RN, 2 CNA, and 1-3 sitters
    • Night Shift – 1 charge, 7-9 RNs, 1 CST
  • Patient Ratios – 2:1, 1:1 with complicated patients – Estimated never guaranteed
  • Type of equipment – FHR monitors (Novii and GE), FSE (fetal scalp electrodes)
  • EMR – CPN and Meditech
Typical Hiring Profile Skill Set Most Recruited for

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

  • Minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital L&D experience
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN or EFM
Preferred or Nice to Have
  • Mom/Baby, Peds and/or NICU experience
Typical Procedures Performed
  • Vaginal deliveries, c-section deliveries
  • Delivery of care through nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum patients and high-risk antepartum patients.
