Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department operating as a Level II trauma center, certified chest pain center, and thrombectomy-capable stroke center
- Maintain a 4:1 patient ratio with support from a charge nurse and on-call leadership available 24/7
- Perform and assist with procedures including procedural sedation (Propofol, Etomidate, and Ketamine), psych/at-risk patient care with safety monitoring, and other ED-level interventions
- Utilize Meditech (DOS platform) EMR for documentation and patient management
- Proactively anticipate next steps in the plan of care and communicate effectively with patients and families in a clear, supportive manner
- Deliver exceptional patient engagement and customer service in alignment with unit standards, including participation in alternative-to-opioid (ALTO) pain management practices
- Minimum 1 year of current Emergency Department hospital experience
- Active RN license valid for practice in Colorado
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- PALS certification required (accepted in lieu of ENPC)
- TNCC certification required
- CPI Blue Card required
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) credential
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR (DOS platform)
- Experience working in a high-volume Emergency Department setting
- ENPC certification (PALS accepted in lieu)
