Position: Postdoctoral Scientist (Stem Cells)

Postdoctoral Scientist – Stem Cell Biology and Early Embryo Development

CCRM Fertility Research invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Scientist position in an innovative and collaborative research program at the intersection of stem cell biology, cellular reprogramming, early embryo development, and reproductive medicine.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated scientist to pursue fundamental and translational research addressing important questions in human reproduction and developmental biology. Our research aims to understand how emerging stem cell-based models, including blastoids and related reproductive systems, together with innovative approaches in cellular reprogramming and regenerative biology, can provide new insights into early human development and reproductive success.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and lead independent research projects while working closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and clinicians. This research has the potential to generate new knowledge and innovative strategies that may ultimately contribute to advances in assisted reproductive technologies (ART) and improved in vitro fertilization (IVF) outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Design, execute, and lead innovative and rigorous independent and collaborative research projects involving stem cell biology, cellular reprogramming, early embryo development, and in vitro and animal-model systems.
  • Develop, optimize, and apply experimental approaches in molecular and cellular biology, stem cell culture, imaging, and functional assays.
  • Analyze, interpret, and integrate experimental data to address important biological and translational research questions.
  • Communicate research findings through scientific presentations, peer-reviewed publications, reports, and collaborative discussions.
  • Contribute intellectually and technically to the development of new research directions and experimental approaches.
  • Foster a collegial, multidisciplinary, and highly collaborative research environment while contributing to the broader scientific mission of CCRM Fertility.
Qualifications
  • PhD in Stem Cell Biology, Reproductive Biology, Developmental Biology, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated research experience in one or more relevant areas, including stem cell biology, cellular reprogramming, molecular and cellular biology, reproductive biology, or developmental biology.
  • Strong ability to independently design, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret complex research projects.
  • Experience with stem cell culture, molecular biology, cellular and functional assays, and/or advanced imaging techniques.
  • Experience with single-cell transcriptomics, epigenetic analysis, computational biology, or integrated bioinformatics approaches is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability or strong potential to publish high-quality scientific research.
  • A high degree of scientific curiosity, creativity, initiative, and commitment to rigorous and reproducible research.
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary research environment.
Why Join CCRM Fertility Research?

This position provides an opportunity to work at the interface of cutting-edge stem cell research and reproductive medicine, where discoveries in fundamental developmental biology can be translated toward future improvements in human reproductive care. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop scientific independence, establish new research directions, collaborate with experts across disciplines, and contribute to high-impact research in a rapidly evolving field.
