Pay Range
The starting pay range for this position is $24.00—$26.00 per hour. The full pay range is $24.00—$40.80 per hour. Pay is based on labor markets and may include education, work experience and certifications.
Responsibilities- Use surveillance and intelligence‑led tactics to keep team members and guests safe while reducing shortage.
- Monitor guests using Target's video surveillance system to identify potential theft risks.
- Implement Assets Protection practices and routines to reduce and prevent shortage.
- Document cases properly and effectively.
- Identify strategic resolutions of external theft and fraud, including apprehension.
- Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by greeting guests, assisting with product location, and providing a sincere thank‑you.
- Support store sales and guest service by ensuring products are in stock and available.
- Resolve theft by using good judgment and conducting apprehensions in shortage focus areas, strictly adhering to AP policies and procedures.
- Identify theft trends by leveraging technology, reporting, and surveillance tactics.
- Prevent theft by gathering intelligence and communicating important issues.
- Use video systems to monitor theft activity.
- Respond to security incidents and submit documentation following AP policy and procedures.
- Promote a physical security and safety culture by creating awareness and training standards.
- Work safely, comply with safety policies, report hazards.
- Maintain positive relationships with public safety officials and law enforcement.
- Participate in legal proceedings as necessary.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
- Enjoy interacting and helping others.
- Thrive in a fast‑moving, highly active, physically demanding role with teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem‑solving.
- Open to a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and peak shopping times).
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.

Job Requirements
- Climb up and down ladders.
- Apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy.
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays); attend scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks.
- Work in environments with varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements.
- Remain mobile throughout the scheduled shift, which may vary in length.
