OverviewStore Loss Prevention Managers lead loss prevention functions within a specific location, partnering with Store Operations to prevent company loss. They drive profitability, sales performance, customer satisfaction, and shrink results, and collaborate with law enforcement and other retailers to create comprehensive case files and minimize exposure to loss and fraud. They support District Loss Prevention Managers with awareness training, root cause analysis, and threat assessments.
Responsibilities- Implement, train, and coordinate all loss prevention best practices, ensuring compliance across store associates and managers.
- Conduct loss prevention assessments and investigations.
- Maintain the physical security of the building and company assets, including monthly alarm tests, resolving alarm and CCTV issues, and managing after‑hours alarm calls.
- Provide ongoing MES training and certification, assist with new‑hire training, and deliver specialized position training.
- Detect, investigate, and document organized retail crime and violations of law and company policy.
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly exception reports to identify areas of improvement.
- Research and respond to cash over/short reporting.
- Collaborate with the Distribution Center Loss Prevention Supervisor on merchandise flow and firearms issues.
- Conduct store loss prevention assessments to ensure compliance with company processes and legal requirements.
- Support the Shrink Coach in maintaining self‑assessments.
- Review operational processes for compliance (SIM, Transfers, Claims, RTVs, SFS, BOPIS, and Known Loss Reporting) and develop improvement tactics.
- 3–5 years of loss prevention or related retail experience.
- Interview/Interrogation training and practical skills (Wicklander‑Zulawski certification preferred).
- 4‑year college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) preferred.
- Successful comprehensive criminal background check.
- World‑class customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical ability.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintains confidentiality and operates truthfully.
- Loss Prevention Qualified (LPQ) preferred.
- Loss Prevention Certified (LPC) preferred.
- Advanced technical knowledge of loss prevention systems and shrinkage controls.
- Strong conflict management skills in stressful environments.
Targeted Pay Range: $50,000.00 – $93,000.00. This competitive total rewards package may include incentive, equity, and other components. Individual pay is determined by experience, location, internal pay equity, and business considerations.
