Position Overview:

We are seeking a BIM Integration Developer to build and scale data pipelines and user-facing tools that enable interoperability across BIM and infrastructure systems. This role combines backend data engineering with modern frontend development, focusing on transforming complex model data into usable, high-quality outputs and intuitive user experiences. You will work across the stack—developing APIs, handling large datasets, and building React-based interfaces—while contributing to data export workflows (including IFC) and broader integration capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data transformation pipelines for BIM and infrastructure model data
  • Develop mapping and normalization strategies to translate complex model properties into structured, interoperable formats
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support data access, transformation, and export workflows
  • Develop modern frontend interfaces using React to visualize, configure, and interact with model data and export processes
  • Ensure exported data is standards-aligned and compatible with downstream BIM and analytics tools
  • Optimize performance for large-scale datasets and model processing workflows
  • Work with both relational and non-relational data stores, contributing to data storage design decisions and implementation based on use cases
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and domain experts to define data requirements and user workflows
  • Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, along with clear technical documentation
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural and design decisions
  • Troubleshoot issues related to data pipelines, APIs, and UI workflows
  • Continuously improve development practices, including the use of AI-assisted coding tools

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong programming experience in C# and .NET ( 6+)
  • Solid experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Strong frontend development experience with React and modern JavaScript/Type Script
  • Experience working with SQL databases and relational data modeling
  • Familiarity with BIM concepts and model data structures (geometry, properties, relationships)
  • Understanding of data transformation, ETL processes, and schema mapping
  • Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with IFC or similar interoperability formats
  • Experience with No

SQL and analytical data formats, such as MongoDB, elasticsearch, etc.
  • Experience building data-intensive or distributed systems
  • Exposure to modern cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, code generation tools) to improve productivity and code quality
  • Background in AEC, infrastructure, or engineering-related domains
  • Experience developing data visualization or configuration-driven UI workflows

Other Requirements:

  • Regular, reliable attendance
  • Work productively and meet deadlines timely
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
  • May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
