Purpose
The Overnight Receiving Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing the warehouse operations of each retail store. In addition, the supervisor manages warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators and oversees the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.
Pay Range$19.39 - $29.70
Minimum Eligibility Requirements- 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment)
- Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills
- Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company
- Effective communication skills (oral and written)
- Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines
- Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons
- Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning for shipping and receiving in a productive and cost-efficient manner
- Direct day-to-day warehouse activities such as shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control
- Manage warehouse operations related to Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and product staging
- Maintain warehouse equipment, provide preventive maintenance programs, and communicate necessary repairs
- Safeguard warehouse safety programs and ensure compliance with all OSHA local and state regulations
- Ensure all associates are trained and following standard operating procedures
- Administer the progressive disciplinary process for counseling and warnings to maintain a productive labor climate
- Handle general employee inquiries and resolve problems
- Coordinate with other departments to streamline warehouse operations
- Complete necessary activity reports for management
- Monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control Specialist for timely data entry
- Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports
Execute the Storage Buy Audit COP - Ensure products are staged for counting and inspection, stored properly, and rotated efficiently within the warehouse
- Perform any related duties as directed by management
- Frequent exposure to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles; moderate to noisy noise level
- Physical demands: ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds continuously; frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
