Summary of Position
We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role will report directly to the Accounting Transformation Manager and will play a hands‑on role in supporting the month‑end close process while partnering on initiatives to innovate, streamline, and automate accounting workflows. The ideal candidate is eager to build a strong accounting foundation, take ownership of core close responsibilities, and leverage modern tools—including AI and automation—to drive efficiency and accuracy across the accounting function.
YouWill
- Prepare and post routine and recurring journal entries to support the monthly close process
- Assist with month‑end close activities, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting schedules
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate reconciling items in a timely manner
- Support the Accounting Transformation Manager in identifying opportunities to automate, standardize, and improve accounting processes
- Partner on the design and implementation of AI‑enabled tools, workflows, and reporting solutions to improve efficiency and data quality
- Assist with maintaining and improving documentation of accounting processes and controls
- Support internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules and providing supporting documentation
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with AP, FP&A, and other operational teams as needed
- Contribute to ad hoc accounting projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Solid understanding of core accounting principles and basic U.S. GAAP concepts
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, lookups, and basic data analysis
- Interest in learning and applying automation, AI tools, and emerging accounting technologies
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with hands‑on responsibilities
- Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate and ask questions
- Curious, proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes—not just execute them
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 1–2 years of accounting experience
- Exposure to ERP systems such as Microsoft d365 a plus
- CPA eligibility or intent to pursue CPA is a plus, but not required
A reasonable salary estimate for this role based on experience, education, and geographic location is: $65,000–$71,000.
