Title:
Payroll Accountant (Job Costing)
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year
Location:
South Bay, California – fully onsite (5 days a week)
Construction company specializing in job costing and payroll processing.

- Process full-cycle weekly payroll, including calculating hours, deductions, overtime, and adjustments
- Oversee job costing and cost code analysis, ensuring labor costs are accurately allocated and reported
- Maintain and manage cost codes
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage and union regulations
- Conduct regular reconciliation of payroll
- Manage workers' compensation and garnishments
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of payroll and job costing processes
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual payroll and job costing reports
- Collaborate directly with the Controller on reporting and accuracy
- 4+ years of hands‑on payroll processing experience
- Job costing and cost code experience in the construction industry
- Experience with time‑card processing – both manual and electronic
- Local to the South Bay area (fully onsite, 5 days a week)
