Senior Accountant Los Angeles County , CA Direct Hire Accounting $80K to $120K 10/01/2026
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $80,000 to $120,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:- Lead month end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial results.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, and supporting schedules while maintaining the integrity of financial records.
- Manage accounts payable activities, vendor relationships, payment processing, and related accounting functions.
- Support project accounting, fixed asset tracking, lease accounting, and other operational accounting responsibilities.
- Identify accounting process improvements, implement efficiencies, and collaborate with cross functional teams to support business objectives.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in senior level accounting roles with responsibility for financial reporting, close processes, and account reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, and operational accounting practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and financial reporting applications.
- Prior experience managing accounting workflows, reviewing financial data, and supporting team development initiatives.
- Previous experience within construction, equipment, project-based, industrial, or other asset-intensive industries.
- Strong background in fixed asset accounting, project costing, lease accounting, and financial analysis.
- Proven ability to drive process improvements, support system implementations, and enhance accounting efficiencies.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities with the capability to collaborate effectively across departments and management levels.
