Accounting Assistant (Part-Time)
Location:
Long Beach, CA | 100% On-site
Industry: Printing / Business Services
Status:
Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule:
Approximately 4 days/week, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (flexible)
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Summary
A company in the printing and business services industry is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support accounting operations and general office administration. This role involves accounts payable/accounts receivable support, vendor and customer communication, and a variety of administrative responsibilities in a collaborative office environment.
Japanese/English bilingual skills are required.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Support
- Enter vendor invoices into Quick Books (Accounts Payable)
- Issue and send customer invoices (Accounts Receivable)
- Process vendor payments, including checks and wire transfers
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries related to AP/AR
- Support year-end audit preparation and reporting
- Handle online sales refund processing through Pay Pal
- Coordinate travel arrangements and office supply orders
- Support internal event scheduling and preparation, including catering orders
- Distribute mail and greet visitors
- Provide general office and administrative support as needed
- Assist other departments during busy periods
- Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience is preferred
- Business-level Japanese and English communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly in a team-oriented environment
- Professional business etiquette and customer service mindset
- Quick Books experience preferred
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets)
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
