Approximately 4 days/week, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (flexible)


Pay Rate: $20/hour

Summary

A company in the printing and business services industry is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support accounting operations and general office administration. This role involves accounts payable/accounts receivable support, vendor and customer communication, and a variety of administrative responsibilities in a collaborative office environment.

Japanese/English bilingual skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Support
  • Enter vendor invoices into Quick Books (Accounts Payable)
  • Issue and send customer invoices (Accounts Receivable)
  • Process vendor payments, including checks and wire transfers
  • Respond to vendor and customer inquiries related to AP/AR
  • Support year-end audit preparation and reporting
  • Handle online sales refund processing through Pay Pal
Administrative & Office Support
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and office supply orders
  • Support internal event scheduling and preparation, including catering orders
  • Distribute mail and greet visitors
  • Provide general office and administrative support as needed
  • Assist other departments during busy periods
Qualifications
  • Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience is preferred
  • Business-level Japanese and English communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly in a team-oriented environment
  • Professional business etiquette and customer service mindset
Technical Skills
  • Quick Books experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets)
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency
