Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of the Faculty Center and Associate Vice President, Faculty Affairs, the Faculty Center Coordinator is responsible for completing numerous complex assignments, tasks, and projects in support of professional development events and activities for the Faculty Center. The Faculty Center Coordinator also provides fiscal support to the Office of Faculty Affairs and Faculty Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for Faculty Center professional development activities, events, and projects.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Faculty Center and provide timely response to phone and email questions from colleges, departments, and individual faculty members regarding processes within the scope of this position.

1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.

Duration of Appointment

This is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

Compensation

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

Hiring Rate:
The hiring rate for this position is $4,047.

CSU Classification Salary Range:
The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4,047 (Step #1) - $5,896 (Step #20) per month.

Qualifications
  • Experience with routine office support and clerical responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of Drupal web management software.
  • Knowledge of Qualtrics experience management software.
  • Ability to take initiative and plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams, both inside and outside the unit.
  • Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
  • Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non‑discrimination policies and procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university’s commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Education and Experience
  • Equivalent to four years of administrative support experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. At least 2 years of experience working in a CSU college or department office preferred.
Physical Summary

Light work - job involves some lifting of medium weight objects (10-20 pounds) and/or 10% - 20% of the job involves standing or walking.
