MATRICULATION ASSISTANT
Join the Long Beach Community College District as a Matriculation Assistant, supporting student access and success through the enrollment, onboarding, and matriculation process. In this role you will perform a variety of clerical support duties related to matriculation and student services, assisting students as they complete key steps toward beginning their college experience.
AT-A-GLANCE POSITION INFORMATION- Type of position: Part time (18 hours/week) / Bargaining Unit
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (may flex when needed to cover evening and weekend events)
- Location: Liberal Arts Campus (LAC) and Trades, Technology, and Community Learning Campus (TTC), supporting both campuses
- Salary: Range 23, $1,981.49 - $2,433.41 monthly. Variable pay range applies for mandatory variable work hours

- Provide general information to students and the public regarding matriculation activities such as placement, orientation, counseling, and registration
- Assist with completing forms and applications; support onboarding and matriculation‑related events; help maintain records and data
- Assist with orientations, placements, registration, and other program sign‑ups; refer students to appropriate services
- Support the setup and organization of matriculation workshops and activities
- Must have graduated from high school or earned a GED equivalent
- At least two (2) years of clerical or office experience serving college students, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Ability to speak, read, and write Vietnamese, Cambodian, and/or Spanish is highly desired
- Valid California driver’s license may be required; must maintain insurability under the district’s vehicle insurance policy
- Experience evaluated on a verifiable 35‑hour week unless specified otherwise
- Positions requiring variable work hours are eligible for one additional salary range above the position’s regular rate of compensation
