The Assistant Registrar, Graduation provides supervision of the Graduation unit and leadership for staff training on graduation-related policies and procedures as they pertain to undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students. The position organizes, plans, and directs the work of evaluators and serves as the staff resource specialist for communication of sensitive graduation information. As the principal liaison regarding curriculum and degree audit issues between the Office of Enrollment Services and Academic Affairs, the incumbent ensures the accuracy of the Academic Requirements Report and Degree Planner.
Additionally, the incumbent provides equitable, inclusive, and culturally sensitive services to enhance campus life using a student-centered, equity-minded approach in all communication.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and train Graduation staff; plan, organize, and manage the workflow of graduation processes including documentation of policies and procedures.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise to the CSULB academic and advisement community regarding all issues relevant to the CSULB curriculum implemented in People Soft Degree Audit System, Degree Planner, and other e‑advising initiatives; advise colleges and academic departments on curriculum revisions.
- Collaborate with the Registrar and Associate Registrar on policy and procedure issues; interpret CSULB policies and recommend changes to improve service to students.
- Analyze individual and group student situations to identify trends and make recommendations.
- Conduct testing and analysis of changes made to the People Soft degree audit system and related components; research and propose solutions for discrepancies.

Time Base: 1.0 (40 hours per week)

Temporary position for one year; no permanent status granted; may expire prior to the end date.
Classification:
Administrative Analyst/Specialist Exempt I
- Hiring Range: $5,274 – $5,709 per month (Step #1 to Step #5) based on candidate qualifications.
- CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,274 – $7,684 per month (Step #1 to Step #20).
- Paid Time Off:

- Effective supervision and staff management with knowledge of personnel policies.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least three years of related experience required.
